1. परिचय
ओणम केरल के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण और रंगीन त्योहारों में से एक है। यह केरल तथा भारत और विश्व के विभिन्न भागों में रहने वाले मलयाली समुदाय द्वारा बड़े उत्साह और खुशी के साथ मनाया जाने वाला फसल उत्सव है। ओणम समृद्धि, एकता, सद्भाव और केरल की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत का प्रतीक है। वर्ष 2026 में भी ओणम परिवारों और समुदायों को पारंपरिक उत्सवों, सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों, स्वादिष्ट भोजन और आनंदपूर्ण गतिविधियों के माध्यम से एक साथ लाएगा।
2. ओणम 2026 – तिथि और महत्व
ओणम मलयालम कैलेंडर के अनुसार चिंगम महीने में मनाया जाता है। इस त्योहार का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण दिन थिरुवोनम कहलाता है। वर्ष 2026 में थिरुवोनम 26 अगस्त 2026 को मनाया जाएगा।

3. राजा महाबली की कथा
लोकप्रिय मान्यता के अनुसार राजा महाबली एक उदार और सम्मानित शासक थे। कहा जाता है कि उनके राज्य में लोग सुखी और समान रूप से रहते थे। कथा के अनुसार भगवान विष्णु वामन के रूप में प्रकट हुए और उन्होंने महाबली से तीन पग भूमि मांगी।
महाबली ने उनकी इच्छा स्वीकार कर ली। इसके बाद वामन ने विशाल रूप धारण कर दो पगों में पृथ्वी और आकाश को नाप लिया। तीसरे पग के लिए महाबली ने अपना सिर अर्पित कर दिया। उनकी भक्ति और उदारता से प्रसन्न होकर भगवान विष्णु ने उन्हें वर्ष में एक बार अपने लोगों से मिलने का वरदान दिया। इसी कारण ओणम परंपरागत रूप से प्रिय राजा महाबली के स्वागत के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
4. फसल उत्सव

3. Legend of King Mahabali
